About Sarah
Sarah is qualified and trained in standardised assessment tools of ADOS 2 and ADI-R,(Autism Diagnostic interview-Revised)) QB, as well as trained in a range of therapeutic modalities. She has worked in specialist clinics for Autism and ADHD, CAMHS, and the private sector for adults and children, since 2018. She has worked and supported children and adults with mental health problems, disabilities and neuro-diversity for 30 years.
She gained a Masters in Social Work from the University of Liverpool, in 1997, and is a registered member of the regulatory body, Social Work England.
Sarah is passionate about the positive use of language, and challenges the subjective way in which neurodiversity can be portrayed. She has worked extensively with adults and parents of children with an autism and ADHD diagnosis and has a deep understanding of the barriers to getting the right support. She believes that a diagnosis can create new conversations and understanding. She has long worked with the social model of disability, that challenges how society can itself create barriers for those living with conditions and disabilities.
Sarah is married and a mother of two grown up children. She loves to walk, swim, read, watch T.V dramas, travel, listen to podcasts, and music.
