Sports Massage and Soft Tissue Therapy (STT)

Management, manipulation and rehabilitation of soft tissues of the body. It is applicable not just to sports people but anyone wishing to use a preventative approach to injury.

Also known as Soft Tissue Therapy (STT) is the management, manipulation and rehabilitation of soft tissues of the body including muscles, ligaments and tendons.

It is applicable not just to sports people, but to anyone wishing to use a preventative approach to injury, or to recover from a soft tissue injury. The techniques have been developed to provide efficient and effective results from each massage.

Benefits include improving circulation and lymphatic flow, increasing and decreasing muscle tone, and the remodelling of scar tissue.

Soft Tissue therapy can assist in mental preparation for sporting participation and also aid with the removal of metabolic waste after exercise.

You do not need to be a sports person to benefit from Soft Tissue Therapy. The benefits listed above can also help to relieve many day to day problems; repetitive strain injury, tension, sprains and fatigue that everyone experiences. Our Soft Tissue Therapist works with a large range of clients to help with assisting in preventive treatment and injury recovery.
