What is Physiotherapy? How can it help me?

Physiotherapy helps restore movement and function for those who are affected by injury, illness or disability.

Physiotherapists use manual therapy techniques to aid recovery by using their hands to relieve muscle pain and stiffness, and encourage blood flow to an injured part of the body. They involve the patient in their own care and can advise on specific exercises to decrease pain and to aid with movement.

What can it help with?

  • Injury rehabilitation

  • Post-surgery rehabilitation

  • Pain relief

  • Strenghtening

  • Injectible therapies (See cortisone injections on main therapies page)
